XM Media is a Singapore-based IP development and management company focused on Anime, Comics, Gaming (ACG) and youth pop culture. We explore how emerging technologies can bring deep stories into vibrant new forms of entertainment.
Incorporated on August 2026, XM Media Pte Ltd is an Intellectual Property (IP) development and management company.
The original IP that XM Media manages are centered on building original stories inspired by Asian culture, mythology, and philosophy.
By combining traditional storytelling with emerging technologies, we are building original Singaporean IP with global appeal.
Building Original Stories from Singapore
Beyond content creation, XM Media is committed to working closely with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to provide opportunities for students to gain exposure to the creative industry through educational collaborations, experiential learning and participation in real-world IP and content development projects.
By combining traditional storytelling with emerging technologies, including the use of AI as a creative tool and production assistant, XM Media explores new ways to transform original IP into animation, film and other forms of content. Our goal is to build original Singaporean stories while supporting and developing the next generation of creative talent.
Current IPs Under Management
Mystical Gateway IP
Co‑created by Mr. Wee Tian Beng and Kerr Sun, and illustrated by Ms. Yeo Hui Xuan in 2018, Mystical Gateway (MG) is Singapore’s first fantasy comic blending wuxia‑inspired action with manga style. Slated for release in late 2026, the IP is being developed into an anime movie that reimagines cultural hubs as mystical epicentres of magic and guardians, fusing Singaporean landmarks with timeless Asian folklore of destiny.
The Celestial Zone IP
Created in March 1999 by Mr. Wee Tian Beng, The Celestial Zone (TCZ) became Singapore’s first comic IP to achieve international success, selling over 2 million copies in 40+ countries. Known for blending traditional wuxia storytelling with modern comic style, TCZ will be reimagined from 2027 as a multi‑season anime series, retelling its stories with advanced AI animation for a new generation of audiences worldwide.
