International competition connects Teamfight Tactics communities across Asia through Singapore’s growing esports ecosystem.
SINGAPORE, [6 November 2026] – Singapore Game Fest (SGF) 2026 will feature the Cyberathlete Teamfight Tactics Invitational, bringing together top players from eight markets across Asia for an international showcase of strategy, skill and competitive gaming.
With its roots in the United States in 1997, Cyberathlete was an early pioneer of organised esports competition. Now extending its legacy into Asia, the Cyberathlete banner has returned through a series of initiatives designed to bring competitive gaming to new audiences. These include the Cyberathlete Women’s Invitational, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) experiences and the Cyberathlete Community Cup in May 2026. This October and November, Cyberathlete returns to Singapore Game Fest with its BYOD experience and the Teamfight Tactics Invitational, continuing its evolution as a platform for both community participation and international competition.
“We are excited to bring Cyberathlete back to a new generation of gaming communities, building on a legacy that began in the United States nearly three decades ago. At its heart, Cyberathlete has always been about bringing gamers together, celebrating competition and creating memorable experiences for the community. Our return to Singapore in 2025 marked the beginning of this new chapter, and in 2026, we are taking that spirit further by reaching out to communities across Southeast Asia and Asia. This journey also sets the stage for a major milestone in 2027, as Cyberathlete celebrates its 30th anniversary. We look forward to honouring our heritage while creating exciting new experiences for the next generation of gamers.”
— Frank Yong, Managing Director, C2E4
Part of the Cyberathlete Community Cup programme, the invitational will feature players representing China, Brunei, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, creating a platform for regional talent to compete and connect through Teamfight Tactics (TFT), Riot Games’ popular strategy-based auto-battler.
Organised by C2E4, the tournament forms part of Singapore Game Fest’s broader mission to connect grassroots gaming communities with international esports opportunities. By bringing players from across the region together, the invitational highlights the growing reach of competitive TFT and the strength of Asia’s gaming communities.
Bringing Asia’s TFT Community Together
The Cyberathlete Teamfight Tactics Invitational aims to create an international competitive platform where players can showcase their abilities, exchange experiences and represent their respective gaming communities.
With participants spanning eight markets, the tournament reflects the increasingly international nature of esports, where players connect across borders through shared competition and a common passion for gaming.
As part of the Cyberathlete Community Cup, the invitational also strengthens the connection between community-led esports and international competition, giving audiences an opportunity to experience the strategic depth and competitive intensity of TFT.
“The Cyberathlete Teamfight Tactics Invitational is an exciting opportunity to bring players from across Asia together on one platform. Beyond competition, initiatives like this help strengthen connections between gaming communities and create more opportunities for regional esports talent to grow.”
— Kelvin Tan, Secretary General, Singapore Esports & Gaming Association (SGEA)
Strengthening Regional Esports Connections
Japan’s participation further reinforces the invitational’s international character, bringing another established gaming community into the wider SGF esports programme.
Through cross-market competition, the event aims to encourage greater interaction between players and communities while contributing to the continued development of the TFT ecosystem across Asia.
“As an esports organization based in Japan, we at REJECT are proud to take part in the Cyberathlete Teamfight Tactics Invitational. Cross-border competition gives players the chance to measure themselves against the best in Asia and brings new energy back to their home communities. We believe events like this play a key role in growing the TFT ecosystem across the region, and we are excited to compete against players from seven other markets in Singapore.”
— Hiroyuki Miyazaki, Executive Officer, Head of Management Division, REJECT Inc.
